“Retratamento Ortodôntico-Cirúrgico Pós Recidiva de Camuflagem Ortodôntica”

Pacientes que apresentam desarmonias esqueléticas de classe II podem ser tratados segundo protocolos ortodôntico-cirúrgicos ou unicamente por compensações dento-alveolares numa estratégia de camuflagem. Esta última abordagem poderá aumentar a probabilidade de recidiva. Neste caso poderemos ter de recorrer a novo tratamento ortodôntico associado à cirurgia ortognática.

Durante a conferência irei apresentar alguns casos clínicos onde isto aconteceu.

“Orthodontic-Surgical Retreatment Post Orthodontic Camouflage Relapse”

Patients who present class II skeletal disharmonies can be treated according to orthodontic-surgical protocols or only by dento-alveolar compensations in a camouflage strategy. This last approach may increase the likelihood of recurrence. In this case, we may have to resort to a new orthodontic treatment associated with orthognathic surgery.

During the conference I will present some clinical cases where this happened.
