Tratamento Ortodôntico para a Classe III como alternativa a um tratamento cirúrgico em casos severos   

A Ortodontia é uma especialidade facial, esquelética e dentária. Nenhuma destas três áreas pode ser considerada de forma isolada no tratamento Ortodôntico, pois todas se encontram numa inter-relação completa.

O Ortodontista é responsável pela harmonia facial do paciente.

O Carriere Motion Appliance é um corretor sagital que atua na correção dos nossos casos de Classe III, de forma minimamente invasiva, para uma abordagem não cirúrgica, mas visando uma melhoria facial substancial.

Será discutido o uso do Carriere Motion Appliance como uma abordagem sem extrações, previsível e minimamente invasiva, para distalização, nas maloclusões de Classe III. Serão estudados aspetos como os princípios, desenvolvidos pela natureza, para otimização de material e força, com elegância de formas, bem como a redução do desenho ao extremo para otimização funcional máxima. O resultado será o desenho, guiado pela natureza, da morfologia de novos dispositivos inovadores, como o Motion e o bracket autoligável Carriere.

A palestra do Doutor Carriere abordará a lógica da sua função, e apresentará o protocolo do seu uso. Discutirá também a resolução de problemas ortodônticos de espaço, relacionados com a fricção criado, bem como considerações clínicas no uso de arames de nova tecnologia na obtenção de ações biologicamente amigáveis.

Class III Orthodontic treatment as an alternative to surgery in severe cases

Orthodontics is a facial, skeletal and dental speciality. None of those three areas can be isolated in an Orthodontic treatment as all of them are in a complete interrelation. 

The Orthodontist is responsible for the patient´s facial harmony. 

The Carriere Motion Appliance is a sagittal corrector that will work in the correction of our Class III cases in a minimally invasive treatment, for a non-surgical approach, but targeting a substantial facial improvement. 

The use of the Carriere Motion Appliance as a non-extraction, predictable and minimally invasive distalization approach for Class III malocclusions will be discussed. Aspects such as the principles developed by nature for optimization of material and force with elegance of forms, as well as the reduction of a design to an extreme for maximum functional optimization will be studied. The result will be a nature-objectified design in the morphology of new innovative devices such as the Motion and the Carriere self-ligating bracket. 

Dr. Carriere’s lecture will cover the rationale of their function and will present the protocol of their use. It will also discuss the resolution of orthodontic space problems related to the friction created, as well as clinical considerations of the use of new technology wires in the achievement of biologically friendly actions.
