“La difícil relación entre deformidad dentofacial, cirugía ortognática y articulación temporomandibular”

Nesta conferência, a relação entre a deformidade dentofacial e a articulação temporomandibular, especialmente nas classes II, será analisada através de uma série de perguntas muito fácies e muito simples. Serão examinados os protocolos para síndrome de disfunção em pacientes que serão submetidos à ortodontia e cirurgia ortognática e naqueles pacientes que apresentarem problemas na articulação temporomandibular após a cirurgia ortognática. Tudo isso será baseado em uma revisão bibliográfica e na experiência do autor.

“The difficult relationship between dentofacial deformity, orthognathic surgery and temporomandibular joint”

In this conference, the relationship between dentofacial deformity and the temporomandibular joint, especially in classes II, will be analyzed through a series of very easy and very simple questions. The protocols for dysfunction syndrome will now be examined in patients who will undergo orthodontics and orthognathic surgery and in those patients who present temporomandibular joint problems after orthognathic surgery. All of this will be based on a literature review and the author’s experience.
